Jonathan Voight (born December 29, 1938) is an American film actor born in Yonkers, New York.

He is noted for his Oscar-nominated role in Midnight Cowboy (1969), he won an Oscar for his vet in Coming Home (1978) and was nominated for Runaway Train (1985).

He played a boxer in The Champ (1979).

He is the father of another notable actor, Angelina Jolie and director James Haven, as well as former husband to actress Marcheline Bertrand whom he married on 12 December 1971. They are now divorced.
