Tyrod Taylor

Tyrod Taylor (born August 3, 1989, in the city of Hampton, Virginia) is the current starting quarterback for the Virginia Tech football team. Taylor is a true freshmen for the Hokies and earned the starting QB position after his first NCAA action in the September 8, 2007 game agaist the LSU Tigers. In that game Taylor completed 7 of 18 passes for a total of 62 yards. Taylor also rushed for 44 yards on 9 attempts including one touchdown. Taylor lead the team in both passing and rushing. Tyrod was named the starter after Head Coach Frank Beamer
