Fedor Emelianenko (born September 26, 1976) is a heavyweight Mixed martial arts fighter, competing in the Japanese organization, the Pride Fighting Championships. He was the 2002 World Sambo (Heavyweight Division) champion, the 1997 Russian Judo champion, winner of the Rings: King of Kings 2001 heavyweight tournament, winner of the Rings: King of Kings 2002 absolute weight class tournament, winner of the PRIDE FC 2004 Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament, and he is the reigning heavyweight champion of the Pride Fighting Championships with a record of 21-1-0 in Mixed Martial Arts Competitions.
Fedor's only loss in MMA came at the hands of Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, via a TKO (doctor stoppage due to a cut) seventeen seconds into the fight. He avenged this loss in 2005 by defeating Kohsaka by TKO when the ring doctors ordered the fight stopped after the first round.
