Jessica Lange (born April 20, 1949 in Cloquet, Minnesota) is an Academy Award winning actress. Folowing high school, she went to Paris to study drama, then returned to New York, where she became a fashion model. In 1976, Dino De Laurentiis cast her in his remake of King Kong, which received unfavorable press and caused her to disappear from the screen until she obtained a small part in All That Jazz. She became a star opposite Jack Nicholson in 1981's The Postman Always Rings Twice, and garnered an Oscar nomination for Frances in 1982. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress the following year for Tootsie, and won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1994 for Blue Sky.
