Jesus Day is a celebration held annually by some Christians on the Saturday before Pentecost Sunday, started on June 10 2000, with the purpose of showing their love of Jesus by "serving their communities and worshiping their Lord in the streets of their cities."

In Texas, USA, then Governor George W. Bush proclaimed June 10, 2000 Jesus Day. Inspired by the 10th annual "March for Jesus" in Austin it urged people to "answer the call to serve those in need".
The proclamation received national attention when the New York Times ran an article on the proclamation.
