A subconjunctival hemorrhage is a common and relatively minor post-LASIK complication.

A subconjunctival hemorrhage is an alarming, but usually harmless condition whereby small blood vessels in the sclera (white of the eye) burst, leading to bleeding between the sclera and conjunctiva. It can be associated with high blood pressure, or trauma to the eye.
