== Stubs ==

When creating short articles that don't fully cover the subject you can mark them as stubs. You can do this using the template {{tl|stub}}. Since you have a good knowledge of what you are writing about it is better to use a specific stub, e.g. if its a UK road use {{tl|UK-road-stub}}. To find the right stub there is a list at ]. ]] 09:33, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

==Unspecified source for ]==

Thanks for uploading ''']'''. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the ] status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{tl|GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the ]. If you believe the media meets the criteria at ], use a tag such as {{tlp|non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at ]. See ] for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following . '''Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged''', as described on ]. If the image is copyrighted under a ] (per ]) then '''the image will be deleted ] after 20:18, 17 May 2007 (UTC)'''. If you have any questions please ask them at the ]. Your reversion was so far-reaching that it re-introduced many factual inaccuracies. If you want to amend then you do, of course, have the right but please make small amendments that you can justify. I served in 2 R IRISH for 8 years. You, I note, are Canadian. It is unlikely that, in this one small regard, you are beter informed than me . --MJB 06:51, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

==Apostrophes==
Hi Maxburgoyne!

Recently, I removed an incorrect apostrophe from ]. You've the apostrophe, with an edit summary of "reinstating possessive apostrophe". This is not correct. ''It's'' means "it is" or "it has". ''It's'' never means "belonging to it". ''Its'' means "belonging to it". You can read more or . == PoW status ==

Have you not been keeping up to speed on this discussion, "PoW status cannot and did not apply to the IRA, " Under British law they were considered POW’s. When did the British Army stop acting and engaging the IRA as an Army. The answer is never! Only now released under the Freedom of Information Act. http://www.patfinucanecentre.org/misc/opbanner.pdf . IRA prisoners were POW. ] states that the status of detainee may be determined by a "competent tribunal". Until such time, he is to be treated as a prisoner of war. So for those who did not get designated with SCS - then I would like to see the reference for their "competent tribunal" - otherwise they are assumed to be POW's especially if POW status is claimed. Have you got the idea now?--] 18:53, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

::Just to keep you up to speed, this is the next point I will be making.

:::Geneva Convention

:::4.1.3 Members of regular armed forces who profess allegiance to a government or an authority not recognized by the Detaining Power.

:::The IRA Army Council became the legitimate government of the Irish Republic in 1938 (a government "not recognized by the Detaining Power") and the Provisionals were appointed as the legitimate successors to the 1938 Army Council by Tom Maguire in 1970. All members of the IRA were therefore members of a legitimate army, and entitled to POW status under the Geneva Convention. Just in case you would like to join the discussion. Thanks for uploading ''']'''. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. == Sounds Reasonable ==

Hi Maxburgoyne, on your reversion on the Bobby Sands page, I would remind you that Jesus Christ was a convicted criminal, who offered up His life. Should we include that category "convicted criminals who committed suicide," on His Article? Could He also have prevented His Own death? Dose that sound reasonable? --] 14:05, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

== Referencing ==

Max, can you please reference information properly in the articles you contribute to. No example here is a reference that I have added to an article - <nowiki><ref>{{cite web | author= | title="Lewis signs up for showdown with Holyfield in Vegas" | work=] | url=http://www.independent.ie/sport/lewis-signs-up-for-showdown-with-holyfield-in-vegas-459902.html | accessdaymonth=13 May | accessyear=2007 }}</ref></nowiki>. If you could follow that format it makes things a lot easier for other editors, otherwise it appears that your articles are unsourced.--] 13:19, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
:You are still not referencing articles correct. You have been politely asked to, if you do not correctly reference articles then you are just making more work for yourself and everyone else in the long run.--] 13:36, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
::: I must say its getting better - but if you use the format I have provided then you will see that that works much better.--] 13:39, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

==Thanks==
For your kind words. But the current discussion shows exactly why I don't want to stay once the ArbCom case has finished. How much time has already been wasted arguing over the insertion of one redundant word, that could have been spent more productively doing something else? ] is what I can produce when I'm not being bogged down with pointless arguments, but the arguments waste too much of my time for me to get anything constructive done. <font face="Verdana">]'']''</font> 15:25, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
:Arrogant and dismissive? I don't think so. The point I'm making is that too much time is spent squabbling between the various factions, and not enough time expanding and improving articles. How much time has been spent arguing over ''one word''? Could that time have been spent far more productively doing other things? Absolutely yes. You've been to the Maze? How many years did you serve? ;) <font face="Verdana">]'']''</font> 15:35, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
::And the last question was a joke, just in case you take it the wrong way.... <font face="Verdana">]'']''</font> 15:35, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

]
Thanks for uploading ''']'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Using one of the templates at ] is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

== Hi there ==

Hey there Maxburgoyne! I just wanted to drop you a line to mention that I undid your recent edits to the ] article.
