NASCAR NEXTEL Cup

Misplaced Pages is not a crystal ball WP:CRYSTAL and until the name is officially changed beginning next year, the series is NEXTEL Cup. When the champion walks on stage in NY at the end of the season he will be the NEXTEL Cup champion, not the SPRINT cup champion. While you may personally feel it's okay to have incorrect information on Misplaced Pages, MOS states that it is not. Do not remove tags or change articles to contain incorrect information. There has been talk of a lawsuit against changing the name so until it is officially changed, do not change it in articles.IrishLass0128 12:42, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Nationwide series

Thanks for the heads up on the logo on the talk page. I read the artcile on NASCAR.com, but since it isn't in an easy to copy form I went to find another one, and I didn't even notice that it wasn't the same logo. Thanks for fixing my mistake, I'll see that the other one is deleted. WildFan48 00:22, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

{{db-nn}}

Although it worked in this case, I'm not sure {{db-nn}} is supposed to apply to video game characters. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 01:04, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:NASCARonESPN.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:NASCARonESPN.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
