The film deals with the aftermath of a tragic car accident. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo. The film arrived in theaters October 19, 2007.

The film was shot in Stamford, Connecticut starting in late October 2006, with the opening scene at Cove Island Park. Part of the movie was also filmed at Lake Compounce Amusement Park in Bristol, Connecticut and shots of Martha's Vineyard, MA are used in the trailer and movie. In the trailer, the song played is Grey room.
