The MS Nordkapp sister ship of the MS Nordnorge, built in 1997, tours Antarctica during the southern hemisphere summer.during the European summer it runs off the coast of Norway.
In Jan. 2007, the vessel ran aground off Deception Island, part of the South Shetland Islands.but without injuries onboard. However the vessel did sustain some damage.
