George Lincoln Rockwell, (March 9, 1918 - August 25, 1967), US neo-Nazi leader, grew up with divorced parents, both of whom were famous vaudeville comedians and actors, where he learnt his skills in speaking to and working with crowds.
After gaining a university degree in sociology, he joined the military and rose to be Commander of the US Naval Air Base in Iceland. Rockwell founded the American National Nazi when his attempt to get Douglas MacArthur elected as president of the USA failed. He blamed this on the Jews. After giving many speeches that led to riots, he was gunned down by a disgruntled ex-party member who he accused of trying to insert Marxist propaganda into the newsletter of the party, The Stormtrooper.
