    Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism

This page is intended to get administrator attention for obvious and persistent vandals and spammers only. For other types of vandalism see the links at the top of this page. Problematic usernames should be reported to UAA. The response to a report will usually be included in the edit summary when it's removed, not on your talk page. For a guide on how and when to report, see Misplaced Pages:Guide to administrator intervention against vandalism.

Important! – please ensure the following before reporting:

    1. The edits of the user you are reporting must be actual vandalism; edit wars, disputes over an article's content, incorrect formatting or Manual of Style errors are not vandalism.
    2. The vandal is active now, has been sufficiently warned, and has vandalised after a recent final warning, except in unusual circumstances.
    3. Your report concisely states what the vandal is doing, and includes an edit summary with the IP address or username.
Reports which do not adhere to the above will be declined.

    Administrators
    1. If users make an invalid report, consider letting them know using template {{subst:uw-aiv}}.
    2. IMPORTANT: Before blocking any IP address, run a WHOIS and Reverse DNS (RDNS) lookup on the address. Be aware of any implications your block reason has for other people on Shared IPs and use"{{anonblock}}" or "{{schoolblock}}" as your reason for blocking when appropriate. The Real-time Blacklist (RBL) link can also be used to determine if an IP address is dynamically allocated or has been compromised.
