Jen-Hsun Huang (born February 17, 1963) co-founded NVIDIA Corporation in 1993 and is currently the CEO. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, he spent several years living in Thailand until he was accidentally sent to Oneida Baptist Institute, a reform school in Kentucky. His uncle and aunt, recent immigrants to Tacoma, Washington who spoke little English, unwittingly thought it was a prep school but soon learned otherwise. After leaving Oneida Baptist Institute and moving to Oregon with his parents, Huang started playing table tennis and at age 15, he placed third in junior doubles at the U.S. Open. Prior to founding NVIDIA, Huang was Director of Coreware at LSI Logic and a microprocessor designer at Advanced Micro Devices. Huang received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University in 1984 and his master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. While at Oregon State, he met his future wife Lori, his engineering lab partner at the time. Huang has two children.
