Don't make drastic edits to Melanie McGuire without discussing first. If you have concerns about accuracy and biographies of living persons, that is the place to describe the issues for all to understand. Removal of sourced information is, however, inappropriate, as is revert warring. Acroterion (talk) 03:34, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

I also posted this on LittleOldMe's page- I think?

Finally found you! I am having a problem with the "Melanie McGuire" page. She is a recently convicted murderess, my brother was her victim. I have so many complaints I don't know where to begin. I'll try to be brief.

1. I am the victim's sister, Cindy Ligosh, and my home address has been deliberately placed in the article. I live in a very small town and I am afraid that any wacko, who might be supportive of this killer, could easily find out what street I live on. This is private and personal information. I have small children. I am afraid that my family may be in physical danger because of this publication. Please remove it immediately.

2. I have an on-going internet war with the killer's family. It seems as if they have complete editing control of this page and are free to print anything they like. I am sure that if you check the citations, you will see that many are bogus or only a small part of what has been printed can actually be found in accredited articles.

3. They have many links to private websites that they have created and used as references and links for the Wiki article such as: Melaniemcguireisinnocent.com, melaniemcguire.com, etc, etc. I am sure that Wiki would not consider these private sites credible for citations. It is the equivalent of a Hollywood starlet's crazed fanatical follower writing an article and citing their private diary.

Could someone neutral please take control of this article, reprint it properly, and lock it so that I can be assured that no one will have access except Wiki editors? Otherwise, I am afraid this page will be a constant source of trouble for all of us.

There are numerous newspaper and magazine articles about this trial where an unbiased writer could glean information. Melanie McGuire was also the subject of magazine shows such as 48 Hours and Dateline, as well as trial coverage on Court TV. I am at my wits end with these people and I don't want to seek legal representation if I can avoid it.

I'm sorry if I tried to edit this page myself before. It took me forever to find this place to communicate with you. I have no idea how to properly edit and cite, and I have 4 small children and no time to learn the rules of Wiki. I just came on the page periodically and tried to erase the untrue words that were written. If I drove anyone here crazy, I apologize. I'm sure you can understand how upset I must be that these evil people continue to cause me and my family trouble- as if the murder and dismemberment of my brother weren't enough.

Thanks for your time and attention to this matter. I'll check back to see if you've been able to be of any assistance.Letsbhonest (talk) 02:08, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
