Angélica Colmenares (born April 23, 1985), stage name Angel Locsín, is a actress from the Philippines who portrayed Darna in the GMA Network's television series with the same name.
Personal background
Locsín was born in Bulacan. She is second from three siblings. The surname Locsín was derived from her mother's maiden name.
She is fond of cooking and learning new recipes.
Acting career
Locsín started to appear in Click, a now defunct teen-oriented program of GMA. But she only became widely known when she appeared in the cover of FHM Philippines. The same magazine frequently lists her as one the "100 sexiest woman in the World". After being casted in Click, GMA had given her various television shows like Love to Love and All Together Now.
She starred as one of the main cast in Mulawin and it is considered as one of her biggest break in showbiz. After her role as Alwina in Mulawin, she applied for the 2005 Darna television series and she was chosen to be Darna among numerous actress who applied for it.
