In the word Kshar Sutra, Kshar means ] and Sutra means ]. This tread is coated with kshar (Caustic) which is obtained by burning natural plants and getting it extract. This process is repeated again and again and let them dry. This method was used in ancient India for treatment of fistula in ano (]) patients. This thread is passed to canal of fistulous (hemorrhoids) track of Fistula and tied at external opening. This thread will be changed on weekly basis. Slowly-slowly all fistulous (hemorrhoids) track would be healed and patients can rid of this fistula. |
