The name "Anna's" comes from no girl in particular, but because the name sounds "motherly", it is easy to remember, it is a spanish name, and it starts with the letter A ( the first letter of the alphabet and would promise prime placement in restaurant guides). History

Anna's was founded in 1995 by a young entrepreneur in Brookline, Massachusetts and grew to five locations. Anna's Taqueria was modeled after a similar taqueria chain in San Francisco called Gordos Taqueria. That model has been updated with the addition of fresh grilled vegetables, authentic Tacos Al Pasteur, and fresh squeezed lemonade.

The name "Anna's" comes from no girl in particular, but because the name sounds "motherly", it is easy to remember, it is a Spanish name, and it starts with the letter A ( the first letter of the alphabet and would promise prime placement in restaurant guides).

Competition

Anna's is among several Boston area taquerias such as and El Pelon Taqueria and also competes with national chains such as Qdoba Mexican Grill and Taco Bell.
