Albert Arnold Gore III (born October 19 1982) is the son of former United States Vice President Al Gore and Tipper Gore and the grandson of former United States Senator from Tennesee Al Gore, Sr.. He is best-known for being mentioned in an emotional vice-presidential nomination acceptance speech by his father during the 1992 Democratic National Convention.

Because of this and the resulting lengthy healing process, his father chose to stay near him during the recovery instead of laying the foundation for a presidential primary campaign against eventual Democrat party nominee, Bill Clinton.

On August 12, 2000, at age 18, he was cited by the North Carolina Highway Patrol for driving 97 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour speed limit zone, the charge was later dropped; on September 5, 2002, he was ticketed, but not taken into custody, for driving under the influence (of alcohol or other drugs) by military police near Fort Myer, Virginia; and on December 2003, he was charged with marijuana possesion in Bethesda, Maryland.
