In Welsh mythology, Morda was a blind old man whom the witch Ceridwen hired to tend to the fire underneath her cauldron.

Morda is a village on the outskirts of the town of Oswestry, Shropshire, England, located on the border of England and Wales.

Inhabitants of Morda are officially known as Mordonians.

A claim that Sticklebricks are thought to have been invented by a self taught engineer (unknown) in the small English village of Morda is yet to be confirmed. (In accordance to a letter in The Guardian in 2006).
