James "Jim" McGreevey (born August 6, 1957) is the current Governor of New Jersey. He was elected in 2001, sworn in in 2002 and his current term will end in 2006. He is a member of the United States Democratic Party. His republican opponent in the 2001 election was Brett Schundler. He had previously been Mayor of Woodbridge, New Jersey, and a member of the New Jersey legislature.
