Welcome!
Hi Felix Frederick Bruyns! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Misplaced Pages community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:
Alternatively, the contributing to Misplaced Pages page covers the same topics.

I see that repetition is necessary. The "welcome" is all well and good, but I still demand that my user pages be deleted for the reasons that I listed in the "speedy deletions" section of this so-called encyclopedia. If I am being repetitively insistent it is because I am being deliberately ignored by most of you.
Deletion
Whoa boy!
What is going on here. You have no user page. user:Felix Frederick Bruyns doesn't exist, and it never has. You don't have a user page to delete, so how am I supposed to delete it? Dunc|☺ 21:41, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- Nor for that matter does Felix F. Bruyns (talk · contribs), though that does have contribs. Do you want me to delete your contributions? what's going on? Dunc|☺ 21:43, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- Okay. Your contributions are in the database now forever. Deleting them is possible, but I think a developer needs to do it, and it's very difficult and complicated and beyond me. I can delete this talk page quite easily. Now, if you do not want to be known by your real name(tm), it may be possible to change your username to something like "Henry the hippopatamus", but again it's a bit of a long shot because it involves faffing around with the database. You seem to have got somewhat irate with the people round here, which might be a bit embarassing for you, but if you're not user:Mr. Treason, if you just leave then it'll be soon forgotten about. If you want to leave, please do so with my best wishes.
- Now, I'm still a bit confused about references to pro-marijuana website, etc. As a rule, wikipedia:mirrors and forks take content, and some of the crappy ones take user pages by mistake, so unless your name is explicitly mentioned in one of the articles, then it's not there. I see however, that a search for Felix F. Bruyns reveals some users complaining about you.
- So here's my plan to remove your name from Google. Google does not spider the histories of articles. First you should promise to behave, people may have overreacted, they may have overreacted - but you should still try to keep your cool. I think it best if you should say sorry to those you've had a go at for getting cross with them. There probably not too offended anyway, unless you've wreaked havoc. Then go and edit out references to your name from those pages complaining about you, having explained to Moriori, etc what you are doing and why. You will still be there in the page history, but very obscure and I doubt anyone would be able to find it. Also, pages get a lower Google page rank if they are unaltered, so that is another way it will become obscurer in the future. Dunc|☺ 22:14, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
Mirrors & IDs
(copied from I thank you for clearing up the problem about the pro-marjuana site. I would also like to ask if you know of anyone on the site who has a habit of hijacking other user's identities to mock them. Could it have been Moriori? Or was it someone else? If you don't know, could you guide me to someone who does? Thanks again.
- Sorry, I don't know who might do this, nor who to ask. I would suggest posting this at WP:AN or the village pump or both. DES 14:19, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
Virus
You wrote: Thank you for the tip. I sent a message to the administrators. By the way, do you know if there is a virus on Misplaced Pages?
- Not that I know of. What makes you think there might be? Misplaced Pages is often slow when the servers get stressed by the traffic level. Taht's one reason for the current fund drive. DES 18:22, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
Confused
Nope, haven't received any messages from you; I haven't deleted anything from you, either. Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 19:45, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw your message. I'll take a look at the case tomorrow; I'm too tired to do anything now. Thanks! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 21:25, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
Response to your recent msgs
I don't know User:Moriori and I don't know what reputation he has, good bad or neutral. I have never interacted with that user. However, User:Raul654 is generally well respected and has a good reputation here. i have had several interactions with this user, mostly positive ones. While I do not agree with Raul654, I do respect him, and I would be very suprised to learn that he had drastically vioalted wikipedia policies.
I have not read the articles on Kylie Minogue, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Drew Barrymore, or Cary Grant. Therefore I cannot judger their current or past content, ot it's PoV. Note that Misplaced Pages is not censored, and when "pornographic" content is the most accurate way to describe real events or things, it is and IMO should be part of wikipedia. Obviouisly no article should have a "liberal" or a "conservative" or a "libertarian" PoV, although many do. Note that reporting the views of others, properly sourced and cited, is not the same as adoping their PoV. There have been many people who wanted to censor wikipedia, removing statemnts or quotes that they felt were offensive or overly sexual, or seemed to support a political PoV they disliked. Such people are generally strongly disapproved of. It is possible that you have been mistaken for such a person.
You ask for "Help" but it is not clear to me what you want me or anyone to do. Stop User:Moriori from saying negative things about you? remove past statements about you from the archives? change the PoV of the articles you mention? or what? Please be specific.
You mention " a message that I left on this very noticeboard was deleted" but you don't say what notice board that might be. This sounds like you are posting this text in many places. It woud probably be best to psot it in one central palce, such as your user page, or perhaps WP:RFC, and then merely send short msgs to others with a link to it.
I hope this is helpful. DES 14:11, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- I just took a quick scan through the current version of Kylie Minogue, Angelina Jolie, and Cary Grant. and i don't see anything that I woukld remotely call a "libertarian" or a "pro-porn" PoV. All three lok like failry good articles to me at this time. I didn't look at the history, so i can't judge what they may have been like in 2004. DES 14:25, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- People generally write about what they're interested in, and quite often this involves writing about which pop star or actress they fancy. Even I'm guilty of that. The demographics around here are biased towards young males like you and me, so there is I think systematic bias here. In fact it gets worse for porn actresses, and I've seen things along the lines of "she unfortunately hasn't done any hardcore porn yet, let's hope though that she gets into it!". That is clearly unnacceptable, yet there is a continuum between that and not having the information at all. A line has to be drawn somewhere, and that is why we rely on the NPOV policy and community consensus here. There is also supposed to be no censorship, and the only censorship really is that drawings of sex are preferable to photographs. It's not perfect, but most people are happy most of the time. If you don't want to be offended, try to avoid looking at the said articles. Like I say though, if you put everything behind you and move on, then most other people will too. Moriori and His Dishonesty
--User Talk: Felix Frederick Bruyns Moriori has been lying about me, misquoting me and quoting me out of context in a quarrel that we've been having since he slandered me in 2004. Does anyone know what I can do about it? I am in great need of assistance. Please contact me at my user talk page. Thank you very much.
- You can start an RFC. And you can keep your personal remarks on him off of the Village Pump, if you don't want him to file one in return. -- Jmabel | Talk 19:04, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
signing messages
Hi Felix, the preferred way to sign a message is to end it with ~~~~, at the end of your comment. This automatically inserts your user name and a timestamp. Let me know if you have any other editing related questions. Thanks. --Ragib 00:00, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- Felix, in reply to your question, look into your keyboard, to the left of the key for 1. (Above Tab). If you press Shift and that particular key , you'd get a tilde (~). The tilde is a standard feature available in ALL keyboards. Use four tildes and you'd get a signature for you. Thanks. --Ragib 00:15, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
A shortcut probably available is the squiggle in a box next to the right-hand box in the editing bar that appears just above the edit box in some "skins". Robin Patterson 00:59:09, 2005-09-05 (UTC)
Cooperative spirit
Now, thanks for your long note on my talk page, "Felix Frederick". I'm sorry to read about the war with Moriori. He or she is a good contributor on the whole (and a great supporter of "New Zealand" content). I hope tempers have cooled (as this month's dialogue above suggests) and I look forward to seeing contributions from you in the cooperative spirit most of us manage most of the time. Explanation Please
Okay, why did you delete my RFC about DESpiegel's unsolicited obscene message to me? It was of great importance to me to stop such behavior and you interfered with my legitimate efforts to put a stop to it. Send your explanation to my user talk. Felix Frederick Bruyns 03:31, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- If you are talking about this one, it's innapropriate to add a user conduct RFC to a page dedicated for article content RFCs. You should use Misplaced Pages:Requests for comment/User conduct instead. --cesarb 03:40, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

We were all n00bs once. Feel free to ask me personally if you have any more questions. (Though, actually, I may be gone in the starting on Tuesday, but I'll try to check my messages.) Dmcdevit·t 04:17, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
Please don't edit others' comments
Why are you inserting a carriage return in the middle of other people's comments? For instance: , , , , and so on. This is causing a new paragraph to begin within their comments, sometimes in the middle of a word. — Knowledge Seeker দ 06:14, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
