are A militant Islamist group in India, Indian Mujahideen have claimed the responsibility of several attacks against civilian targets in India. 

Believed to be a "shadow amalgam of the SIMI and Lashker-e-Taiba", the Indian Mujahideen have been declared a "terrorist" organisation, and membership in the group has been banned in India.

Two days after the 13 May 2008 Jaipur bombings, the Islamic extremist group sent an e-mail to Indian media in which they claimed responsibility for the attacks and said they would "demolish the faith (Hinduism)" of the "infidels of India".
