I have changed the rating for this article from A to B for the quality scale and from Mid to Low on the priority scale. I do not believe the article meets the A-class rating criteria. In any event, ] requires in order for the A-rating to be assigned that it be supported by "two uninvolved editors, with no significant opposes". As the article's creator you are certainly an involved editor. If you really insist on the article being rated A-class, you can post a message at the talk page for the relevant wikiproject and request support by additional editors for assigning the article A-class rating.
Regarding the priority rating within wikiproject Chicago, I think the very association of this article with ] is rather tenuous and is in fact a mistake. The subject has very little to do with Chicago. As I understand it, he went to grad school in Chicago but has been a faculty member at UCSD since 1969. So wikiprojects ] and ] as well as ] would seem to be much more relevant here.
Finally it is inappropriate to remove the comments of other editors from the article's talk page as you did here. Thankyou
Just a little note to say thankyou for participating in my successful RFA candidacy, which passed with 96 supports, 0 opposes, and 1 neutral. I am pleasantly taken aback by the amount of support for me to contribute in an administrative role and look forward to demonstrating that such faith is well placed. RfA double !votes
I've indented your inadvertent double !votes here and here. user:Everyme 09:08, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Your RfA contributions
Hi. I'm a little concerned by some of your recent RfA contributions, including two incidents of double-voting and a baffling oppose over lack of experience for a candidate with masses of experience, way beyond the norm for RfA. (Please return to the RfA and clarify your comment)
Please be more careful at RfA. --Dweller (talk) 09:18, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

I have changed the rating for this article from A to B for the quality scale and from Mid to Low on the priority scale. I do not believe the article meets the A-class rating criteria. In any event, Misplaced Pages:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/A-Class criteria requires in order for the A-rating to be assigned that it be supported by "two uninvolved editors, with no significant opposes". As the article's creator you are certainly an involved editor. If you really insist on the article being rated A-class, you can post a message at the talk page for the relevant wikiproject and request support by additional editors for assigning the article A-class rating.
Regarding the priority rating within wikiproject Chicago, I think the very association of this article with Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Chicago is rather tenuous and is in fact a mistake. The subject has very little to do with Chicago. As I understand it, he went to grad school in Chicago but has been a faculty member at UCSD since 1969. So wikiprojects Misplaced Pages:WikiProject University of California and Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Southern California as well as Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Anthropology would seem to be much more relevant here.
Finally it is inappropriate to remove the comments of other editors from the article's talk page as you did here. You are free to remove comments of others from your own user talk page after you have read them. But doing that for a Misplaced Pages article is inappropriate, except in cases of vandalism. When the article's talk page gets too long, it can be archived. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 12:54, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
