== Thanks for Section restores ==
Hey Deckiller <br />
Just wanted to say thanks for restore of sections (Voyager:In The Flesh) to be specific. I'm amazed that you went to so much trouble to track down the particular article. Guess now I have to hold up my end and try to improve it ;). I've read so much of the fighting and nonsense here at Misplaced Pages, it's really nice when I see that "Guardian Angel" work that admins (and other editors too) do here. I'm just a (relatively) new editor getting his feet wet, and wanted to express my appreciation for all the "behind the scenes" work. Thanks again. ] (]) 18:53, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Cutting a few articles from our jurisdiction that aren't intimately Final Fantasy related
Merging a bunch of articles that have no notability
Creating a subproject at wikiproject video games to deal with the people who create video games, as they get no love from most video game wikiprojects
Build up the remaining articles to GA status, and have everyone look at us in awe. Thoughts? My biggest issue will be to sell it to the others who remain at the project. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 14:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
User Ageslimit needs to be banned (again)
Hey. It seems that in the May of last year, you blocked this guy Ageslimit for a well-rounded dose of vandalism. Well he's back now, and spent Apr 19th spamming a good deal. And what's worse is that he's been using the edit comment box for advertising, which I don't think can be changed by normal users. Pls ban this guy, he sickens me and more than certainly deserves it.
Thnx... Abhishekbh (talk) 07:50, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Reliable Source
Hello Deckiller. I've tracked you down because I need help. I know zero about Misplaced Pages's policies regarding reliable sources and have no desire spending hours shifting through pages of policies mumbo-jumbo to solve my problem. Basically, I'm wondering if the site "thelostworlds.net" would be a reliable citation for this page: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I have no idea if it is or not and I just decided to bring it to an Admin. The Clawed One (talk) 18:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I am contacting you because you're a member of the League of Copyeditors. Would you be interested in taking a look at Highlander: The Series (season 1) which is currently a Featured List Candidate ? The quality of the prose is the only remaining objection to its promotion and I would really appreciate your help. Have a nice day, Rosenknospe (talk) 12:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Could you please semi-protect this page? We have a whole mess of IP's (probably just one sock-puppeting, actually, since they all say the same thing and act like they were the same person) who continue to insert unverified info, and remove sourced info. Not even Mr. Lister'sKoromon survived intact.19:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
<Idle chatter>. I accidentally found User:Deckiller/music and was very happy to see Neil Peart and Bill Bruford on the drummers list. I'd also agree with Geddy Lee as a bassist, but Alex Lifeson is not a standout as are his bandmates... I'd argue with your over-rated bands, adding Journey (who held the record for decades) but the #1 all-time most over-rated, (recently surpassing Journey) would be Nirvana. I'd remove Led Zeppelin, since of course they are easily the best band ever. :-) As for under-rated bands, you forgot Queen. The Police are not under-rated; they were extremely big in their day and, I suspect, still garner respect... Friends of mine have mentioned Djam Karet in this context, but I have never heard their stuff.</Idle chatter> Ling.Nut (talk) 04:33, 26 May 2008 (UTC)">

Hi Tyler—Just surveying monthly diffs for the update, and noticed massive movement at . I wonder whether you could bullet for me the main substantive changes in the criteria. Also, I can't find the page to view the history of the instructions. TONY(talk)13:20, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I am cautiously optimistic; the notability debate seems to have isolated those who want to include things that do not have at least moderate amounts of real world information, I see movements within several wikiprojects, from the video game one to the 24 project to trim back plot summary articles and add real world information. And though their continue to be areas that we haven't reached yet (Warhammer 40,000 as an example), and we obviously have an ever growing number of articles, the quality keeps getting better. And I agree with you that the Final Fantasy Wikiproject is a model for the successful implementation of a high bar for notability and an example of how amazing fictional coverage can be. Those are my current thoughts. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:54, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey there. Another user has noted some concerns with the prose in this FAC I submitted and he recommended I ask that you point me towards someone who can give the article a good copy-edit. Know anyone? I'd appreciate it! —Zeagler (talk) 16:19, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
word power
Good man. You have an uncanny ability to pick up wasted words—ones that I don't see, anyway. Before we know it, you'll be teaching business writing. Now I'm off to deal with flack at MOS talk about my new tutorial on hyphens and dashes. I can see trouble from Anderson at a distance (he just doesn't believe in insisting on proper dash usage). Tony(talk)04:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Huh. You changed it back in May and I just noticed now...I thought you had changed it more recently. Cheers to 20 though, I'll be turning 20 in about four weeks. hbdragon88 (talk) 04:55, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Checking the history, I see you were last through on the 7th; there have been a lot of changes since then, and since it's a short article, I hope you'll have time to do some cleanup. I got lost in some sentences with multiple clauses. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I see you're doing some ce to the TWEWY article - I don't know if this is in line with the recent FAC comments, but regardless, could you ping me or the FAC point when you're done so that address those (if you haven't already). --MASEM00:00, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Deckiller, how are you. Sandy Georgia forwarded your name to me when I was looking out for experienced copy editors to help me. The above article has gone through a thorough PR (Ruhrfish, Redtigerxyz), Mos check (Epbr123), image clearence (ЭLСОВВОLД) and general copy edits (Michael Devore). I need one solid round of copy edits to cap it all. I hope you are free to help me, something I would really appreciate. thanks, Dineshkannambadi (talk) 20:48, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi
My name on Misplaced Pages is Master&Expert. I'm somewhat new here. Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you knew of anywhere that I can make a new article related to video games. :) Master&Expert (talk) 01:59, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
It's been a while my friend. I'm planning on slowly getting back to editing soon, so I'm looking forward to working with you again! Quatreryukami (talk) 14:19, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
short ce help needed
Don't know if you're active right now, but Tony suggested to buzz you for a quick massaging of the short article Crush (video game) as part of its FAC. It's nowhere near as difficult as TWEWY (its only 1500 words short), and I've worked out the text before, but just need a quick check on that. --MASEM13:52, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
My pleasure! I wish I had more time to work on it; I've basically only been copyediting here and there when I notice something, usually just stuff that's near other edits when it pops up in my watchlist. I still haven't gotten around to sitting down and actually going through the whole article, so for now all I've been able to do are little things. Anyway, glad I could help! —Politizer00:44, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Deckiller. If you are free, can you copy edit this article. It is currently in PR and I dont expect many changes. SandyGeorgia referred me to you, some time back. Thanks,Dineshkannambadi (talk) 00:46, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
CE request - but no rush!
I'm being preemptive here; I'm working Ico through the ranks, currently sitting at as a GAN, and Guyinblack has already done a passthrough. Since I know that someone will say something about copyediting once it gets to FAC, I'm being preemptive and seeing if you can get a look at this. Since its only at GAN, I don't need it in a rush, but I will wait if it does get to GA until you can complete it (if you can do it) before taking to FAC. Let me know if you think you can do it, otherwise I'll check with another ce-editor. Thanks. --MASEM16:22, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
The Providence meetup is today. The plan is to try to meet between about 4-6pm and we'll be ordering pizza around 5pm. Note, that I will be there during the entire 1-8pm, and anyone is welcome to stop by, but I thought a more specific time might make it easier for people to plan attending. See the talk page for more info and discussion. --mikeu12:58, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
