Alan Shefman is currently the Ward 5 Councillor in the City of Vaughan. Previously, he served as the Vaughan Area 2 School Trustee on the York Region District School Board.
Professionally, Shefman has a long history in human rights in Canada. From 1980 - 1988 he was the National Director of the League for Human Rights of B'nai Brith Canada.
