Sardar Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto (Template:Lang-ur) (born 29.11.1933) is the first cousin of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, chief of the Bhutto clan and chairman of the Sindh National Front and Sindh Qaumi Itehad. Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was the founding member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), former federal minister, Governor of Sindh and Chief Minister of Sindh.
Early life
Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto born on 29th November 1933 in the village of Pir Bux Bhutto district Larkana Sindh, Pakistan. He belongs to a respectable family of Larkana. Before the independence his father honorable Nawab Nabi Bux Khan Bhutto was the member of legislative assembly, and had strong political background.
Education
Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto got his primary education from his village & then Masoori India. He gots his 'barrister' digree from the University of Lincoln's Inn on 1959 & 'master' digree on 1963 from Oxford University United Kingdom.
Political career
He became a member of National assembly in the age of 32 years on 5th March 1965. When he & his cousin Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto announced for a new political parety 'Pakistan Peoples Party' PPP on 30th March 1967, & he also became the founding member & principal executive committee member of the Party. He & his cousin Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto fought the election of 17th March 1970 against Mr. Ayoub Khuhro & Mr. Qazi Fazalullah. He got a huge victory against Mr. Qazi Fazalullah. His cousin became the 1st democractically elected Prime Minister of Pakistan & he became Governer on 24 December 1971 & then Chief Minister of Sindh Province on 1st May 1972. His P.M. cousin almost called him, a talented cousin.
Chief Minister
As a Chief Minister he announced "Sindhi languge as the Government language of the Province", & he also said that 'If God will give me ten lives I'll sacrifice all of mine' so thats why the peoples of Sindh call him "Dahesir-e-Sindh". He known as a good administrator. During his rule he ordered the officers for immediately acton to solve the problems of poor & needy peoples of Sindh. Once again on 7th March 1977 he won the victory on the National Assembly seat & became a Centeral Minister. In the year of 1977 his cousin nominate him as a president of "PPP.Sindh". He arrested during the struggle against the arrest of his cosine, & then exiled from the dictator General Zia's government. On 31st March 1985 he announced for a new political Alliance named "Sindhi Baloch Pashtoon Front" at London. He also announced for a new constitutional programe for Pakistan known as "CONFEDERATION". And became the convenor of the alliance for Pakistan, returned beck to Pakistan & met with very huge crowed of the welcomers & once again arrested by the military government. On 31st March 1989 he called the workers convention at Hyderabad Sindh & announced for a new political party named 'Sindh National Front' S.N.F. Once again he won the prvincial assembly saet on 6th October 1993 & became M.P.A form district Larkana. On 6th November 1996 he once again became the Cheif Minister of Sindh. Now he is the Chairman of S.N.F, which is the largest nationalist party of Sindh, & also the Cheif of the 'Bhutto' community of Pakistan
He has two sons Ameer Bux Bhutto and Ali Haider Bhutto.
