- Bob Chastain is a writer on religious history
- Brandi Chastain (1968- ) was a player on the United States Women's National Soccer Team. She won a gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, and is well-known for taking off her jersey on television after winning the 1999 Women's World Cup.
- Elijah W. Chastain represented Georgia in the United States Congress from 1851-1855. He was a member of the Union Democrat Party.
