Joyce Meyer is an evangelical author and speaker. She lives outside of Saint Louis, Missouri, and produces regularly broadcast television and radio programs. She has written numerous amounts of books about Christianity and theology, numbering over 70 as of December 2005. She holds a degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a Ph.D in Theology from Life Christian University, in Miami, Florida.
Meyer's writings and sermons often include references to issues that she has faced in her own life, including child abuse, and a divorce in her first marriage.
In February, 2005 Meyer was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the top 25 Christian evangelicals in America. She is also a best-selling author on the New York Times list. (source: )
