If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.

Concerning your email, I asked twice that you discuss with other editors before adding the link to the article. As I recieved no reply and you continued to add the link, I blocked you for six hours as described above. Before creating a templated link system as used for the Internet Movie Database, you should either discuss it with the Community at the Village Pump or discuss it individually at each page as I suggest you do for the article in question.
