In a live chat on PlayStation.blog, Neil Druckmann, the Naughty Dog lead designer, said Uncharted fans can soon expect to see a motion-comic prequel voiced by "your favorite actors from the two games." No more info has been released at the moment other than the transcript itself. Answering a reader's question: "So what is next? DLC?" Druckmann said, "Well besides DLC - which you should hear more about pretty soon - we have an exclusive announcement! We're releasing a prequel story to Uncharted 1 as a motion comic voiced by your favorite actors from the two games. Stay tuned for more info.

The Uncharted series is a series of video games by Naughty Dog based on the adventures of fictional character Nathan Drake.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the first game in the series, and is an action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Combining platforming and third-person shooter elements, the game charts the journey of protagonist Nathan Drake, supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado in South America, with the help of friend Victor "Sully" Sullivan and journalist Elena Fisher..

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is the second game in the series, and is a PlayStation 3 action/adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the sequel to the highly successful Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It introduces the stealth mechanic, and mainly explores Nepal and Himalayas in search for the Lost city of Shamballah. It reunites most of the cast from the first game and introduces new characters like Chloe Frazer, Nate's old flame, and Zoran Lazarevic, the new villain.

Film adaptation

Film producer Avi Arad has stated that he is working with a division of Sony to develop the film adaptation of Uncharted. In response to a question posed to Richard Lemarchand, lead game designer of Naughty Dog, on whether he would like to see a film adaptation of Uncharted, he replied "no comment.".

Since then, Columbia Pictures has confirmed that an Uncharted film is being developed. It is to be written by Kyle Ward and produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner.

As of June 30, 2009 it was confirmed that the Uncharted film has been in production for the last year-and-a-half.
