Brothers and Sisters is a 1929 novel by Ivy Compton-Burnett.
Brothers & Sisters was a music event which took place in the early 1990s in Birmingham, England, the first of its kind in the Midlands. It took place in the Coast to Coast club off Broad Street every Saturday, featuring hip hop, Acid Jazz and Funk. Although the event featured mainly recorded music, a regular feature was a live guitarist and percussionist who would play over the music.
The event developed out of the Birmingham Hip Hop scene.
DJs and bands from Mowax, Acid Jazz records, and Talkin' Loud records were supported by local residents Simon 'Fathead' and 'Triksta'.
Simon 'Fathead' later went on to develop The Medicine Bar in Birmingham and 'Triksta' continues to perform at Stump Juice in Wolverhampton.
Brothers and Sisters is also an album by the Allman Brothers Band.
