Lady Justice

Lady Justice (or the Goddess of Justice) is a personification of the legal system. She is frequently depicted as a bare-breasted woman carrying a sword and scales, and sometimes wearing a blindfold. She is said to have been inspired by Themis, a goddess in Greek mythology.

This image of Lady Justice lacks the blindfold and the typical scales, replacing the latter with a book.

The image is frequently used to adorn courthouses and courtrooms.
