Johor Bahru, also spelled Johor Baru or Johore Bahru and near-universally abbreviated JB, is the capital of Johor state in Malaysia. The city of 400,000 is located at the southern tip of Malay Peninsula, across the causeway across the Straits of Johor from Singapore, and is a major transport hub for the region.
