This song was the first single released commercially for the Estefan third compilation album; however, this song was not so successful on the charts due its stronger dance-club background, but was a smash hit on the dance charts, becoming in another Top Ten hit for Gloria Estefan at the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
Due it success at the dance charts was nominated to several dance awards: such as a Grammy Award for "Best Dance Recording" but lost out to Janet Jackson hit, "All for You". The song was also nominated for two International Latin Billboard Music Awards for "Latin Dance Club Play Track of the Year" and "Latin Dance Maxi-Single of the Year", however she did not win the award.
