Operation Last Chance was launched in July 2002 by Simon Wiesenthal Center in order to track down Ex-Nazis still in hiding, as most of them would be nearing the end of their lifetime, hence the operations name. Aribert Heim, who was discovered in November 2005 in Spain (after living there for 20 years with the help of the ODESSA network) may be one of the persons included in the list of four names given by Simon Wiesenthal Center in this code-name operation.
