Proposed removal of the The Apprentice UK template

I have started a discussion at Template talk:The Apprentice UK proposing the removal of template {{The Apprentice UK}} from this article (and the articles on other celebrities having appeared in the show). Please contribute your opinions to a discussion there. /talk 10:03, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

should the line citing 'private eye' as the source, be included - it is a satirical magazine, afterall. Rdog 21:12, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Birth place

The body of the article says that he was born in Romford, Essex but the side-box/template claims he was born in Barking. I'm not familiar with London geography, but the two seem to be contradictory Sitush (talk) 02:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Quotes

I would be most wary that some of the content of this page borders on the libellous - particularly the unquoted comments about the Irish journalist etc:

Ever the charmer, Ross often amusingly promises to 'find' journalists if they misquote him in interviews. He even joked once that he'd 'kill' an Irish reporter for coughing nearby. Because he's famous and can do that with apparent immunity from prosecution for technical assault.

Ross often goes running with his fitness coach Andy O'Neill, Ross is one of those people who loves the feeling of being in shape. Also with his heavy workload (Ross Kemp In Afghanistan and Ross Kemp on Gangs) he needs to be fit.

It has the tone of someone with an axe to grind - and is, in any case, unverified. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drchriseades (talkcontribs) 14:06, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Ross Kemp on Gangs

In my opinion there needs to be more input on this section. The majority of his media/acting career has been based on several Kemp on gangs series, let alone his book and DVD's.

Seeing as this is quite a large factor in Kemp's media image, it would be better for the article as a whole if more information was shared on this part of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.164.252.205 (talk) 20:55, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Supposed Death

Please can this article be locked as people are claiming Ross Kemp to have died on tonight's Top Gear and are using today's date. This is an unfounded and untrue fact due to the following reasons: 1) Top Gear is pre-recorded at least a month in advanced so therefore if he did die, his death would have been made public way before tonight's show. 2) The BBC would not have aired the episode if it did involve the death of Ross Kemp. Coomdoom (talk) 22:09, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your note; it's been taken care of already. The idiots people who felt the need to include this won't be able to do so anymore--seriously, a car program as a reliable source for someone's death? Come on. Drmies (talk) 22:11, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

can i add that he appeared to top gear though? --Allie cabab (talk) 20:31, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Why would you? He is a notable personality; surely not every occurence of him on the TV is encyclopedic. An encyclopedia is not an exhaustive list of facts. Drmies (talk) 22:43, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

The article has information about other minor rolels he has played, like the fact he was on the friday night project, and he breifly appeared on extras. If these are there surely top gear should be there? --Allie cabab (talk) 23:25, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Am sorry to have to report this everyone, but tonight the article has undergone the same form of vandalism. For the umpteenth time, Ross Kemp has not died. Because of the actions of a few mindless idiots people, I have requested that the page be semi-protected tonight, because of the level of vandalism I'm certain that will be granted and it means that anonymous IPs will not be able to edit this page for the foreseeable. If this level of vandalism continues once the page is unlocked again, rest assured I won't hesitate to ask for a higher level of protection --5 albert square (talk) 03:37, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

SAS Service

"Prior to becoming an actor, Kemp served in the SAS elite force for 4 years from 1983 to 1987." According to the rest of the article, he was also appearing in the soap opera Emmerdale during 1986. This must be some kind of first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.86.155.148 (talk) 20:38, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
