This page in a nutshell: Do not use vulgarity when in discussions with other editors. |
The use of vulgarity by editors on this project is unprofessional and inappropriate. Vulgarity should be avoided.
Misplaced Pages is a professional project dedicated to writing an encyclopedia. As such, please only use "office talk" when communicating with other editors. If it isn't appropriate to say to your boss or co-workers then don't use it when talking to other editors. All editors are co-workers and professional, appropriate language is expected.
Using swear words while talking to other editors in a heated moment, increased anger or irritability qualifies as abuse and aggression and cannot be justified under any circumstances. If you're angry or upset, take some time off from Misplaced Pages but don't start taking it out on other people here. Repeated offenses of using inappropriate, aggressive and abusive language can result in a block.
