April 2010

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Penn Quarter, Washington, D.C.‎, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Penn Quarter

Please see the Talk page before making any further edits. I am not "contending" anything but instead trying to persuade you to observe Misplaced Pages policies. You need to provide some kind of source for the significant expansion you are insisting on for this neighborhood, particularly to the north into Chinatown. Please review the links I provided on the Talk page, and above, for a sense of what needs to be done. Your own personal assertions, no matter how forcefully stated, aren't sufficient. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 11:14, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Also please take a look at Misplaced Pages:Edit war, which explains that disputes in Misplaced Pages should be resolved through discussion, not dueling edits. (In particular, the page also describes the "three revert" rule, which provides that editors are at risk of being blocked if they revert the same edits more than three times within a 24 hour period.) Again, please take this dispute to the Penn Quarter Talk page rather than reinserting your edit. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 13:20, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of countries by GDP (PPP). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Elockid 21:37, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
