The Intercity Express is the Express train service in India which connect and run only between important railway junctions or state capitals.

Exceptions

Bhopal - Gwalior Intercity Express which runs only 5 days a week.
Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Intercity Express which takes 11 hours to cover the 550KM strech between the 2 cities.This train uses 2 rakes between the stations and also has Sleeper Class, 1A, 2A and 3A coach.
