The 2015 Copa America will be the 44th edition of Copa America, the main international tournament for national teams in South America. The competition will be organized by CONMEBOL, South America’s football ruling body. The 2015 was supposed to be hosted in Brazil according to the new host rotation policy. However, due to the organization of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics in that country, Brazil has reconsidered this decision. Conmebol’s president Nicolas Leoz had suggested the tournament to be organized in Mexico (despite this country not being a member of Conmebol) . Nevertheless, Brazil and Chile have discussed the idea of swapping the realization of the 2015 and 2019 championships . However, Bolivia’s president Evo Morales has contradicted this arrangement by announcing that his country will stage the 2015 Copa America .
