== Decibel ==

Does the IEEE dictionary really say "The decibel is one-tenth the logarithm to base 10 of the ratio of two power quantities"? I can't find any online book or paper that uses the phrase "one-tenth the logarithm to base 10" in association with decibel. It doesn't make any sense, which is why I'm asking for help checking the source. ] (]) 15:11, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
: I screwed up; trying to paraphrase a very short definition which on page 288 of the "Authoritative Dictionary" says exactly "Ten times the logarithm to base 10 of a ratio of two powers". I would revert my own edit now except that I'm too busy hanging my head in shame. Please fix this. --] (]) 15:17, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
::Looks like you fixed it nicely. Thanks. Mistakes happen. ] (]) 03:38, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
