Paid Editing Project
Hi: My name is Tess and I work for a global independent research firm in New York. I am interested in hiring you for a Misplaced Pages editing project, based on your technology and medical experience and expertise. I attempted to email you through your user page. If you received it, please read it over and contact me with any questions. If you did not receive this email, please let me know and I would be more than happy to tell you more about this project. (You can call 512-651-1797 or email tfurman@glgroup.com). Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon! Tess - Gerson Lehrman Group 19:34, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
Exercise Hypertension
Would be grateful if you could give this article the 'once-over' so we can hopefully take the 'not medically reviewed' tag off. Many Thanks Bob aka Linuxlad 14:28, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
(copied to Talk Page to context your reply - thanks, Bob)
86.10.231.219
On Talk:Mumps this 86.10.231.219 (talk · contribs) caused me some aggravation. It appears to be a reincarnation of another user, 81.111.172.198 (talk · contribs), as both IPs resolve to NTL cable internet in Bromley. This user has also been doing strange things to Misplaced Pages:Requests for comment/Ombudsman, where 81.111.172.198 had a severe case of Wiki burnout and was blocked from trying to publish my GMC registration details.
Please report attacks from 86.10.231.219 on the admins noticeboard. I would personally have a very low threshold for blocking on grounds of violent trolling. JFW | T@lk 23:25, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've seconded your report. JFW | T@lk 08:19, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Was that you that decorated the anon's user page with an annotation reflecting his odd style? Stephen Holland, M.D. Kd4ttc 23:29, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Glucometers
You created the article Glucometers, apparently moving it from a section of Diabetes. I found that there was a more extensive article on the same topic — Glucose meter, which has a redirect from Glucometer. Since the information "Glucometers" is in the "Glucose meter" article, I nominated "Glucometers" for delete and redirect. As creator of the article, I wanted you to be aware of this, and if interested, cast your vote on the AfD page — Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Glucometers —ERcheck @ 14:52, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- that's fine, I really just moved the material _out_ of Diabetes article.
Re:sociology and vaccinations
Regarding this, I think sb at my dept is actually doing a related dissertation, but she probably haven't edited Wiki before :( --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 01:07, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'll ask her, but what exactly do you need?--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus 02:34, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm interested in the phenomenom, rather than the people, particualrly in the way that copied information spreads, despite later corrections, across websites. Also in the sociological view of the whole thing. Midgley 02:37, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Defunct Medical Journals
I have moved this page to List of defunct medical journals, which is probably a better title. Bluap 15:52, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- The new title also fits well with List of medical journals Bluap 15:58, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Revert
I have no idea what happened. I was under the impression that Ombudsman had reinserted the tag. Obviously I was looking at an old diff. Heaven knows. Thanks for fixing it. The bottom line is: Ombudsman has lowered himself to the level of drive-by shooting. Add tag, insert some hopeless drivel on talkpage, then disappear. Very collaborative. Not even tried to provide the "balance" he thought was necessary. JFW | T@lk 20:38, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- He is back again, with no detail or effort to improve it. How do we do rfcs? Midgley 09:09, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
If you delete an entire section of an article like that again, I will report you for vandalism. My son was poisoned by thimerosal and is only now starting to recover. I don't expect everyone to believe me, but I want people to be aware of the specifics of the controversy. Readers of Misplaced Pages have a right to make informed consent. --Leifern 00:29, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
