Hi there. Careful on the reverts, the other editor has already hit WP:3RR suggest you not revert again if he does. Anyway he should have gone to Talk per WP:BRD rather than starting an edit war but that does not mean you should get sucked in. Cheers, RomaC 04:56, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh, no problem. I won't revert it again. Not today, anyway! thanks for the advice.
- Dear Neo,
- Because you are a newbie, let me first welcome you to Misplaced Pages, and award you a service badge, which you may put on your user page.
This editor is a Registered Editor and is entitled to display this Service Badge.
Next, I will refer you to one of the kazillion things you need to learn to participate fully in Misplaced Pages. The citation you posted is not recognized as a valid source. I wish you the best of luck and a word from someone who has been there: Do your homework. P.S. Also review this page: re: The 3 revert rule which incidentally I have not violated as it states: Removal of poorly sourced material may be immediately removed.(exception to 3RR) Namaste DocOfSoc (talk) 04:58, 27 August 2010 (UTC)DocOfSoc (talk) 05:13, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
How we do things here
Misplaced Pages is a collaborative project. People of differing views work together to write a neutral encyclopedia. That's not always easy, particularly on controversial subjects, and we have to discuss what to put in the article on the talk page.
The core things to remember if there is disagreement, is to interact civilly (see Misplaced Pages:Civility) and to avoid inflamed rhetoric and personal attacks. Always comment on what should be in the article, don't comment on the views of the other contributors. We have a policy of assuming everyone is working on good faith.
I hope these remarks help you to understand why this contribution doesn't really fit in here. I've taken the liberty of removing it, and I'd ask you to have a look at the policies I pointed you to. Misplaced Pages can be a lot of fun, if you take the effort to understand the ethos.
Happy contributing.--Scott Mac 18:29, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
