Harry Whittington is an Austin, Texas-based attorney who was accidentally shot by United States Vice-President Dick Cheney in a hunting accident on February 12, 2006.
Biography
Whittington received his law degree from the University of Texas.
In 1950, Whittington began a private law practice in Austin.
Government positions
He has served as chairman of the Texas Public Finance Authority Board and is a past member of the Texas Board of Corrections, which is now known as the Texas Board of Criminal Justice.
Whittington serves as a public member and chairman of the Texas Funeral Service Commission.
