Taylor Hicks is a semifinalist on the 5th season of American Idol. He is from Birmingham, Alabama (a former student at Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham), and auditioned in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hicks is best known for his prematurely gray hair, and his bluesy singing voice. He is an accomplished harmonica musician. A fan of the likes of Bob Seger and Ray Charles, Hicks brings his unique style to a show often accused of a "Parade of Clones"
