re simula and python, here is a link which states that ABC was descended from Simula , although the statement could be wrong. ABC was procedural, Simula was an early Class based language, and there was a 20 year gap between them. Also ABC was a descendant of B. |

So, I don't know. Perhaps the article should say something like 'Python was developed to include features of Simula and ABC, both of which had been worked with by GVR...' It certainly used indented code like ABC, and classes like Simula. |
