Funny, a couple hours ago I looked for Icynene, and there was no article about it. Just now I looked at the article Building insulation materials and to my surprise the link to Icynene was blue; so I noticed that you created a redirect in the mean time. Thanks! Agree: Given the criteria, a more general article should be written for polyurethane insulation, or insulation in general. I am not up to writing such an article. Should I initiate the speedy deletion? I am not that familiar with deletion. Jim1138 (talk) 09:56, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I'd say retitle. The concept is correct, it's just never called a "crash dive" by professionals. I'd suggest Emergency dive. TREKphiler 06:58, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

I could live with that, except I find it a bit generic. What would you say to a broader Submarine operation? Including specifics in how dives are done, how depth-keeping is handled, trim tanks, pumps, so forth. Linking out from Submarine. TREKphiler 10:16, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

If we treat it the same way as, say, Aerodynamics or Rudder, I don't see why not. As you ask, I do see some potential doubt about the viability, for lack of content. That said, tho, with most of crash dive adapted to simpy explain normal dive ops, plus a section indicating any (slight) differences in emergencies, plus differences between navies, & between diesel & nuclear boats, plus detail now in Submarine that might be duplicated...

Good sourcing might be an issue, especially for the fast dive procedures; most of what I've read in nonfiction doesn't cover the details. I've only ever seen detail coverage in fiction. :/ Are fictionalized eyewitness accounts like Beach's & Bucheim's good enough? IDK. TREKphiler 12:30, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
