Stephen John Nash (born February 7, 1974) is a Canadian basketball player.

Nash is a starting point guard for the NBA's Dallas Mavericks. He was an NBA All-Star in 2002 and 2003.

Nash was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in Victoria, British Columbia. He played college basketball for Santa Clara University. He plays for the Canada national team in the summer, where he wears the number 7.

In an interview with Steve Nash, he said his favorite book is, "The Catcher In The Rye". He also mentioned that he is extremely fond of Mahatma Gandhi, because he is constantly searching for truth.
