Scott Allan (born 28 November 1991 Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays as a midfielder Dundee United.

Early life

Scott was born on 28 November 1991 Glasgow Scotland, he attended Ross Hall Academy as a pupil in Crookston until 2008.

Career

Youth squads

Allan has been at Dundee United since the age 10. He progressed his way through the youth development system & made an important contribution to the Youth Team’s run of success in 2007-08. Scott signed a full-time contract in January 2008. In September 2008 he represented Dundee against Montrose in a Forfarshire Cup tie. He became a regular in the Under 19’s team during the 2009-10 season.

Forfar Athletic

Scott signed for Forfar in September 2010 on an emergency temporary transfer until the 30th October 2010.. He made his debut for the Loons in a Second Division league fixture against Alloa on the 2nd September 2010. In total he made four league appearances & On the 30th October 2010 he scored his only goal for Forfar in his last game against Livingston which was the only goal of the game.

Dundee United

Scott was on the bench for 4 SPL fixtures in 2010–11 season but did not make an appearence. Allan had to wait until the 14 July 2011 to make his debut for the club as a substitute in their 1-0 defeat in their UEFA Europa League match against Śląsk Wrocław coming off the bench for Scott Severin. He made his SPL debut at Tynecastle Stadium in an away victory for Dundee United on 31 July 2011 playing 83 minutes.

Controversy

Allan was charged with assault on the 4th November 2010 after an incident on Queen Street in Glasgow which left two men needing hospital treatment. The incident also involved a number of Allan's Dundee United teammates Danny Swanson who was knocked unconscious, Barry Douglas, David Goodwillie & former Dundee United player Matthew Flynn,John Friel & a Passer-by.. The assault charges were dropped on the 24 June 2011 as Crown Counsel decided there should be no further proceedings against Scott Allan on the basis of insufficient evidence.
