Emily Blunt is a British actress.
Career
She appeared as Princess Isolda in the British television drama Boudica, on the life of the ancient British warrior-queen who fought the Romans.
Not long after that, she played Henry VIII's fifth wife, the teenage Queen Catherine Howard opposite Ray Winstone in the British 2-part television drama, Henry VIII. She appeared in the second part of the drama, which followed Henry's life from the execution of his second queen, Anne Boleyn (played by Helena Bonham Carter) until his own death from a stroke in 1547. Emily's character was executed for adultery in 1542.
In 2004, Blunt played spoiled socialite Linnet Doyle in a television drama based on Agatha Christie's novel, Death on the Nile. Her character was murdered whilst honeymooning on a Nile cruise. The mystery is solved by Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, played by David Suchet who had appeared in Part One of Henry VIII as the king's chief minister, Cardinal Wolsey. Blunt appeared in Empire (2005 miniseries) and 2006's 'Gideon's Daughter'.
Emily Blunt also played Tamsin in My Summer of Love in 2004. She is also starring opposite Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in the 2006 fashionista-comedy The Devil Wears Prada, slated for release in summer of that year.
